GENERAL RULES FOR MAINTENANCE OF
DISCIPLINE AMONG STUDENTS
The college is committed to
maintenance of discipline and
decorum among students.
Students must abide by all rules
and regulations as prescribed by the
college authorities. Violations of
rules, irregular attendance,
irregular clearance of hostel dues,
showing discourtesy to teacher and
staff members in any forms, adoption
of unfair means during examination,
delinquent behaviour in the college
campus or outside etc. are some of
the offences which may invite
disciplinary action like termination
of scholarship, forced transfer and
even expulsion from the college and
the hostel.
All forms of ragging in hostel
or college campus are prohibited.
Strong disciplinary action will be
taken if one is found to be involved
directly or indirectly in ragging.
Any notice desired to be pasted
or circulated by the students
anywhere in the college and hostel
premises will need the prior
permission of the college authority.
Powers in respect to maintenance
of discipline are vested with the
Head of the institution. His
decision shall be final in all such
matters.
RAGGING
As defined by Honourable Supreme Court
of India, any disorderly conduct whether
by words spoken or written or by an act
which has the effect of teasing,
treating or handwriting with rudeness
any other students, indulging in rowdy
or indiscipline activities which causes
or is likely to cause annoyance,
hardship or Psychological harm or to
raise fear or apprehension thereof in a
fresher or a junior student or asking
the student to do any act or perform
something which such students will not
be in the ordinary course and which has
the effect of causing or generating a
sense of shame or embarrassment so as to
adversely effect the physique or psyche
of a fresher or a junior student…………. is
defined as ragging.
ANY SENIOR STUDENT
INDULGING IN RAGGING INSIDE THE COLLEGE
CAMPUS AS WELL AS IN THE HOSTELS WILL BE
STRICTLY PUNISHABLE BY THE COLLEGE
AUTHORITY AS PER ORDER OF THE SUPREME
COURT OF INDIA DECLARED RECENTLY.
ATTENDANCE RULES
H.S. : Student not attending at least
75% of classes held will not be allowed
to appear in the examination conducted
by AHSEC.
B.A./B.Sc. : Student not
attending at least 75% of classes held
in both 1st and 2nd year Classes will
not be allowed for the final
examination. This applies to all the
subjects, Major or Pass Course.
