By studying the comparative literature and language the students of the Department can get them established and can contribute to different fields of society.

For the benefit f the students there is a departmental library. Most of the books of the department have been donated by the students of the department as well as by the teachers of various departments of the college. Since the college has not been able to open PG courses in Assamese for want of requisite permission from the University, the department has utilized the maximum benefit available from GU by opening correspondence course for pursuing MA in Assamese as per GU rules and norms. The teachers of the department are ready to start with the process of regular coaching to the students.
