Two year Higher Secondary Course in Arts and Science:


In Arts stream a student is allowed to offer the following subjects:

A) Compulsory subjects:-

1. English
2. MIL – Assamese/Nepali (One may also offer Alternative English/Bengali/Hindi/ Bodo as a non-collegiate candidate )

B) Elective subjects:-

1. Economics 2. Political Science 3. Education 4. History 5.Mathematics 6. Statistics 7. Geography 8. Advance Assamese 9. Logic and Philosophy

N.B. :- Math+ Stat+ Eco+ Logic & Philosophy will be considered as science stream.

In Science stream a student is allowed to take the following subjects:

B) Elective subjects:-

1. Physics 2. Chemistry 3. Mathematics 4. Biology 5. Economics 6. Statistics 7. Geography 8. Logic and philosophy

 
Three year Degree course in Arts and Science:( 1+1+1 pattern) In Arts stream a student is allowed to offer Major in anyone of the following subjects:
1. Assamese  2. English  3. Economics  4. Education  5. History  6. Mathematics 7. Political Science 8. Philosophy
Vocational subject :- Functional/Communicative English is a available as vocational subject for Arts students.

In Science stream a student is allowed to offer Major in anyone of the following subjects:-
1. Botany 2. Chemistry 3. Economics. 4. Mathematics 5. Physics 6. Zoology

HIGHER SECONDARY (Arts)

A. Compulsory subjects:-

A student can select a maximum of four subjects from following. Three of them are compulsory and the rest considered as 4th elective subjects.

(1) Advance Assamese (2) Education (3) Economics 4) Geography (5) History (6) Logic and Philosophy (8) Political Science (7) Mathematics (9) Statistics

HIGHER SECONDARY (Science) :

A. Compulsory subjects:

1. English
2. MIL-Assamese / Nepali (One may also offer Alternative English/ Bengali/ Hindi/Bodo as a non- collegiate candidate)

B. Elective subjects:-

(a) Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics + Biology (including 4th subjects)
(b) Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics + Statistics (including 4th subjects)
(c) Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics + Geography (including 4th subjects)
(d) Physics + Chemistry + Biology + Geography (including 4th subjects)
(e) Economics + Statistics + Mathematics + Physics (including 4th subjects)
(f) Economics + Statistics + Mathematics + Logic and Philosophy (do)
(g) Computer Science Application+ Physic + Chemistry + Maths. College authority is making arrangement for procuring necessary permission from the AHSEC for this subject .
 

COMBINATION OF SUBJECTS

TDC (ARTS)

The college offers two shifts :- one being the Main shift, commencing from 9 AM and the other named Additional shift from 11.15 AM. A student is debarred from offering a subject in which he / she has failed in the Higher Secondary examination.

(GENERAL COURSE)

(d) History + Economics (m) Political Science + Education
(e) History + Education (n) Education + Geography
(f) History + Geography (0) Economics + Geography
(g) Philosophy + Education (p) Education + Economics
(h) Philosophy + Economics (q) Elective. Nepali +Any General
(i) Philosophy + Political Science subject as admissible
(r) Functional English+ Any General subject.

MAJOR COURSE

A student is allowed to offer a subject as Major course if he/she secures at least 50% marks in the subject in the 10+2 level, and qualified himself / herself in the Selection test of the Department concerned which will be held before the actual date of admission . The notification in this respect will be made in time by respective Deptts and the College Authority as and when required.

(Passed with Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics in 10+2 level)
b) Physics + Mathematics + Statistics (Passed with Physics + Mathematics in 10+2 level)
c) Physics + Mathematics + Geography
(Passed with Physics + Mathematics in 10+2 level)
d) Economics + Statistics + Mathematics (Passed with Mathematics in 10+2 level)
e) Botany + Zoology + Chemistry
(Passed with Biology + Chemistry in 10+2 level)
f) Botany + Zoology + Geography (Passed with Biology in 10+2 level)

MAJOR COURSE
