Stepped into the decade of celebrating the Golden Jublee, Biswanath College figures out to have been the premier educational institution ranging from Howajan to Hbarali, a vast area inhabited mostly by people from rural agricultural background. Established in 1960 at the initiative of a handful patrons of learning, mostly deprived of being blessed with the light of higher education themselves, the institution can claim to have stood out test of time on merits of its being able to impart the best education, the best discipline, the best culture to the pupils who could hardly attain that level of perfection but for this seat of learning. The congenial climatic condition, affable neighbourhood and the healthy social surroundings of the locality have enabled the institution to inoculate the spirit of drive, initiative and enterprise to the children who would have otherwise “blushed unseen” in their huts and hearths. The efficient set of teachers, resourceful library, administrative acumen of the office and a sense of fraternity among all give the guarantee that the institution has outlast, and is likely to outlast the perils of time.

The institution subscribes to Robert Frost as he says:

Woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep
